VOLUNTEERING WITH SPRAOI Every year hundreds of people volunteer their time and energy to Spraoi productions and in particular the Spraoi Festival. Young and old, from all walks of life, and from all areas within the city and without, pull together to make the event the success it is. That voluntary commitment given by so many people creates a sense of ownership of the festival throughout Waterford. It is that sense of ownership that is the true measure of Spraoi's achievement. Moving to its own studios in 2003 certainly created a whole new set of opportunities and challenges for the company. Yet it is not steel and stone alone that enables Spraoi to achieve its goals, it is the energy and drive of the volunteers. And each year a new generation of volunteers gets "stuck in".
