Always Drinking Productions: “The Street is Ours”
Irish Premiere
In 1997 the Always Drinking Marching Band hit the streets with its own particular brand of music, and their first show “Beer, Sweat and Tears”. Realising the potential of the band, in 2004 a second
show “The Street is Ours” was born, elaborate and energetic. The show is a group of musicians, clowns, dancers, poets, technicians who form Always Drinking Productions. The arrangements are specially done for this ensemble, creating an original and powerful sound. Theatrical situations, gags and interaction with the audience make of this show a unique experience.
A clown guides the musicians through the most hilarious situations, while the trumpet players seduce the audience with their sound, the alto and tenor saxophones shake their booty, and nobody can avoid watching the crazy trombone player. The sousaphone has a fantastic groove, in harmony with the banjo. Finally, three percussionists, bass drum, snare drum and a kettledrummer generate an unusual beat and a powerful explosive rhythm !

“The Street is Ours” has been seen all over Spain and Europe, wowing audiences wherever its performed, not just because of the quality of the show, but because it uses a universal language that reaches all audiences.
