Street Art

The production and staging of top quality street art is at the very centre of Spraoi's ethos. Street art is, by its very nature, vibrant, innovative and inclusive; qualities the company strives for. Street art can encompass many disciplines; music, theatre, dance, comedy and circus.

Spraoi 2009 featured the work of street art companies from 8 different countries, including Ireland.  Nine Irish premieres featured, and aAs well as Transe Express from France, UK company Motionhouse premiered "Upswing", Truktitrek from Spain premiered "Hotel Crab", and  Australian duo The Cloghoppers performed the smallest Banjo Circus in the world. 

Other international companies to have appeared at the festival over the years include Dream Engine and Avanti Display from Britain, French company Elixir, Teatro Du Mondi from Italy and Close Act from Holland.

The festival will continue to feature the very best of national and international street art companies.
