Paul Henri Jeannel is a professor and a magician. Give him a piece of paper and watch in wonder as hegenerates hundreds of large scale paper hats through his spectacular folding paper workshops. Paul Henri will be roaming around on Saturday and Sunday, so be prepared to join in, make your own hat, and go forth wearing the latest model.
Urban Canvas
Internationally acclaimed artists, and winners of the National Dutch Open Pavement Art Competition 2010, Urban Canvas work with the assistance of hundreds of adults and children. Poster paints and pavement chalks are used to create massive works of art that know no boundaries. They’ll be in John Roberts Square on Friday, on the Mall on Saturday and in the Park on Sunday.
Lenny Stobbart Caricaturist
A new take on the traditional caricaturist – meet Lenny Stobbart. He likes to draw people ‘warts and all’ – even if they don’t have warts. Be prepared to be insulted, because when Lenny draws you he tends to speak his mind, to the amusement of all watching. No one is left in any doubt as to how they really look, and if you’re prepared to sit for one of his portraits you’ll get to keep the drawing to prove it.
Ringo Bingo Scavenger Hunt
A scavenger hunt with a difference – it’s gone digital! A family friendly event for people of all ages. Get a list of things to find and photograph and off you go with either your phone or your digital camera – first back with the correct photographs wins a prize! Times: Meet on the WVW Plaza on the Quay, Friday, 3pm and 5pm. On Saturday meet at the Fountain in the People’s Park, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.
All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
