Modern life is rubbish. We need advice, guidance, and heroes. Kenneth Fall,  the Rock God and saviour of Africa and Tina Machina, the Queen of Iceland and new age white witch of pop are under qualified but overly eager to share their absurd views on how to cure the planet. Can international celebrities and circus devilment save the world?  Tumble Circus return to Spraoi with a new show, featuring duo trapeze, corde lisse, partner acrobatics, hula hoop, and slapstick clowning.

The flood is upon us.  Grab what you can.  Cling to whatever floats.  You might end up bobbing along in the bathtub, surfing the crest of a wave or being dragged below the waterline.  All in the company of some very unfamiliar aquatic inhabitants of the city.  Guess you’ll just have to adapt and make the best of a bad situation!

To celebrate 21 years of Spraoi, the 2013 Spraoi Parade follows the original parade route of 1993, wending its watery way from Johnstown via the heart of the city, John Roberts Square, to the Quay.

Join us as the Spraoi Parade returns to a city centre awash with flotsam and jetsam.

                          

Delreves Company from Barcelona perform their stunning vertical dance show on the facade of the Waterford Crystal building on The Mall at this year’s Spraoi Festival.

The company incorporate dance performers on the actual building, a live band and visual projection. There will be two shows, one performed by day and a second by night.

                          

Paper Dolls premier their new show at Spraoi Festival and it’s been commissioned by the SPRAOI CREATE programme.  Paper Dolls have rehearsed at Spraoi Studios in recent weeks and we’re very excited to be making new work with this exciting company and its performers. Paper Dolls were winners of the Spirit of the Fringe Award at last year’s Absolut Fringe Festival.  Be part of a world premiere; make Paper Dolls a must-see show at Spraoi 2013!
